Members of the World Mission Society Church of God came together to host the Mother’s Love Art Exhibition in Philadelphia. Through paintings, poems, clay art, and even creative dishes, they expressed the love of a mother in unique ways.
Philadelphia is known for its brotherly love, and the city’s creativity came alive in each piece. Every artwork shared a different story, yet all carried a sense of care and thoughtfulness. Visitors didn’t need to know the artists personally to feel the meaning behind each creation. Families, neighbors, and city residents walked through the exhibition, pausing to admire the pieces and quietly reflect on the messages they shared.
Expressions of a Mother’s Love
The love of a mother is certainly experienced through all walks of life. Wanting to display this in every way, the volunteers even put time and effort into building the walls to frame the event. One dish, aptly titled “A Meal of Love,” pieced together a beautiful picture with various herbs and foods. Each night of the exhibition, the room was filled with families, neighbors, and spectators from the surrounding city.
Near the end of the exhibition, four videos shared candid interviews with the artists about their experiences with their mothers. These stories offered visitors more insight into the meaning behind the artwork. Over three days, friends, family, and new guests visited the exhibition, taking time to view each piece and reflect quietly.
Sharing Mother’s Love
The World Mission Society Church of God believes in God the Mother. In the Bible, God the Mother can be seen from Genesis to Revelation. This biblical teaching was incorporated together with memories of each artists’ personal experience. As a result, guests became curious to know more, seeing the two topics being tied together in such a significant and emotional way.
