God the Mother

Jerusalem Mother

God the Mother in Creation

God’s divine nature is seen throughout the creation. In this way, although God is invisible, the creation allows us to see God.

“Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature.”

In matters of life, God designed mothers to be the primary life-givers. Through this, God conveys that eternal life should be granted through a spiritual mother.

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Although God is referred to as Father, God’s female image cannot be ignored. As both Adam and Eve were made according to God’s will, by understanding why they were created, we can realize more about God’s profound will (Rev 4:11).

“Adam is a pattern of the one to come.”

God’s will in creating Adam is to teach us about God the Father. Then what was God’s will in creating Eve?

“Adam named his wife Eve because she would become the mother of all the living.”

Genesis 3:20

God created Eve to teach us that life can only be granted by Mother. As Adam represents God the Father, Eve represents God the Mother who grants eternal life to spiritual children.

“But the Jerusalem that is above is free and she is our mother.”

Jerusalem above does not indicate a physical city in the Middle East. Rather as she is from above, she is the Heavenly Jerusalem who will appear and give life to God’s people. Those born of God the Father and Jerusalem God the Mother receive the promise of eternal life according to the Bible (Rev 22:17).
