God the Mother, the Spiritual Eve
God uses different characters to testify about the Savior who comes in the flesh to give God’s people eternal life. Among these figures are Adam and Eve, who serve to illustrate the roles of God the Father and God the Mother.
“Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come.”
Romans 5:14 NLT
“Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.”
Genesis 3:20
“Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.’”
Revelation 19:7 NLT
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ … let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”
Revelation 22:17
Just as God uses Adam to show us about God the Father, so Eve shows us about the existence and purpose of God the Mother (Rev 21:9–10; Gal 4:26). Learn more about the Spiritual Adam and Eve at the World Mission Society Church of God.
